Time to thank and be thankful

Christmas is a happy time but it also signals opportunity for purse snatchers

I ADORE autumn. I love the vivid colours and brisk, bright days. However, my favourite season always seems short-lived as the dark nights draw in and winter rears its bitter chill.

FOR the past six weeks, I have been away touring the Scottish islands with a theatre company. I've toured many times before as an actor and/or musician but, on this occasion, I was brought onboard under slightly different circumstances.

Get writing...that's the message from Morna.

I ADORE writing. Since childhood, I have carried a small notebook in my bag for scribbling ideas and inspirations. Most of these remain unused. Others have become lyrics, poetry, short stories, novel plots or, indeed, column ideas.
