WORLD class dancers will headline at the Elgin City Dance Club’s spring ball.
Michael Johnson (22) and partner Sallyrose Beardall (21) have danced together for over four years.
In that time they have been crowned the All England U21 Champions, British U21 Latin American Finalists and World Championship Finalists in both U21 Ballroom and Latin American sections, being placed 7th in Ballroom and 5th in Latin American.
The pair will give Latin American and ballroom demonstrations at the ball in Elgin Town Hall on Friday, February 22. The doors open at 7.30pm and the dancing gets underway from 8pm.
They have competed in England, France and Holland and are one of England’s top Latin American dance competitive couples.
The Manchester-based couple train in Michael’s father’s dance school daily and also have lessons with previous World Champions making regular trips to London.
They hope to carve a successful career in professional dancing.
The pair enjoy every aspect of their dancing and want more people to become aware of ballroom and latin dancing and promote dance in a way that can be constructive to the new generation of children. Dancing at the ball will be to Western Rhythm from Galashiels and there will also be a buffet.
