Support is on hand for those with dementia in Moray.

TWO support groups for people with dementia in Moray, their carers and family members are about to resume following the festive break. Dementia cafs in Buckie and Forres were created last year by Anne Heinrich, a local dementia advisor with Alzheimers Scotland.

PEOPLE with lung conditions are urged to take extra care during a sudden cold snap. The British Lung Foundation Scotland & Northern Ireland says those with respiratory disease such as COPD or severe asthma can be particularly susceptible at this time. Symptoms often include shortness of breath and increased coughing.

Drop a glass size in 2013

Think about your alcohol intake.

A CAMPAIGN encouraging women to 'Drop a Glass Size' in 2013 has been launched today (Tuesday) by Health Secretary Alex Neil. As part of the campaign, which also includes a national roadshow, a new 'drinking mirror' smart phone app has been developed to show people the shocking affects of regularly drinking too much. The app is free until the end of March and will show users that cutting down a glass size can have a significant affect on the ageing process.
