During Scottish Food and Drink Fortnight this year, people are being encouraged to celebrate local produce and Eat Scottish. With the gourmet goodies on offer, you won’t need to be asked twice.
From September 3-18, producers, delis, restaurants, retailers and food lovers throughout the country will be shining a spotlight on Scotland’s larder.
Our diverse range of locally sourced food is an essential part of our cultural identity and heritage – from the whisky to the fish and seafood that is prized worldwide.
The people who make our food and drink take great pride in what they do and have helped Scotland build its global reputation for quality. Scottish Food and Drink Fortnight gives everyone a chance to support the local family businesses and producers who create the country’s rich menu of food and drink.
Celebrity chefs will be sharing recipes to inspire, tasting events and special offers will showcase exciting new flavours and old favourites, there will be events including local food festivals… in fact all the right ingredients for a fantastic fortnight of fine food and drink.
Enjoy the taste, take the pledge and Eat Scottish.
And there’s no need to wait until September. For more information and to find local events visit www.scottishfoodanddrinkfortnight.co.uk
