HERE at HL towers, there's a wee tradition with one of the team who buys a pack of mince pies as soon as he spots them in shops (usually in September!), followed by a few packets over the weeks until he celebrates when he finds the first box with a best before date that is actually around Christmas!
So there have been a few mince pies munched over the years!
This year the tasters tried Sainsbury's Taste the Difference brandy rich mince pies which went down extremely well. Gorgeous pastry and an alcoholic, fruity filling. The team will be back for more!
Asda's Extra Special all butter mince pies weren't as enjoyable, however, the taster finding the pastry dry and tasteless. The filling was good, though.
