MURDER accused Nat Fraser tried to fool his wife into thinking he was short of cash, it was claimed.

 

A friend of the couple said she thought he had planted a bank statement where she would find it.

 


The Elgin platform ENVIRONMENT secretary Richard Lochhead has welcomed the news that the gas leak from the Elgin platform in the North Sea has been stopped. Mud has been pumped into the well and this process worked within 12 hours of the operation starting on Tuesday.

Police PARENTS are being asked to sit up and take notice of a session later this month that will focus on safety issues surrounding child car seats. Road safety advisors from Grampian Police will be holding a child car seat clinic at The Playbarn, near Lhanbryde, on Sunday May 27 from 10am-4pm.

Nat Fraser FRUIT and veg wholesaler Nat Fraser was making his usual delivery rounds on the day his estranged wife disappeared, a murder trial heard today. He was at the wheel of a distinctive seven and a half ton lorry decorated with cartoon characters "Natalie Nectarine" and "Jamie Jaffa" - called after his son and daughter. The High Court in Edinburgh also heard that Fraser paused on his rounds for tea and a scone in an Elgin cafe and made a phone call to a woman called Hazel in Fochabers.
Police POLICE have issued a security warning following a spate of thefts from motor vehicles in Lossiemouth. A number of vehicles were targeted last weekend within residential areas of the coastal town.
