ROADWORKS costing £200,000 will get underway near Fochabers tomorrow.
Resurfacing will be carried out on the Dramlachs crawler lane section of the A96 to the east of the village.
The work is expected to take six days to complete.
Temporary traffic lights with a 30mph speed limit will be in operation between 8am and 5pm each day.
However, because of the narrow road width, one section of the works will be carried out using a convoy system with a 10mph speed limit, which is necessary for the safety of workers and motorists.
All traffic management will be removed overnight.
Andy Thompson, BEAR Scotland’s north east unit representative, said: "These improvement works will repair a worn and uneven section of the A96.
"Motorists will notice an improvement in the general condition of the road and the reduced noise.
"There may be some short delays, particularly during the period of convoy working, so we would encourage road users to plan their journeys in advance and allow some extra time for travelling."
