Alert to Moray boat owners after motor theft

POLICE are alerting Moray boat owners after two outboard motors were stolen from a local marina.Police

The motors were taken from Findhorn bay between 5pm on Wednesday, August 29 and noon the following day.

Investigating officers are warning owners of boats in the area to secure their vessels and any items they may have on them.

One of the outboard motors stolen was a Yamaha make and the other a Suzuki, with each valued at a three-figure sum.

Constable Nicholas Clark said: "We would like to make other boat owners aware and advise them to take all possible precautions to ensure that any property on their vessels is secure."
