A BODY recovered from the River Spey has been identified as Elgin man Sandy Gray.
Mr Gray (66) was last seen at home by his wife at around 8am on Friday, September 13.
Later that day police found the car he was using, a red Seat Ibiza, at the Boat o’ Brig car park near the road and rail bridges over the Spey.
Police Scotland confirmed the body recovered from the river yesterday near where the vehicle was found was Mr Gray.
In a statement they said there appeared to be no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death and a report would be sent to the procurator fiscal.
