TRAIN passengers in the North East will face some disruption over the coming few weeks.
All trains between Inverurie and Aberdeen will be replaced by buses on September 2, 3, 9 and 10 while work takes place to replace over a mile of track at Kintore.
Buses will also be put on to allow customers to continue their journey while maintenance takes place on September 30 and October 1.
In addition, the 9.33pm Inverness to Aberdeen service will terminate at Huntly on Saturdays, as will the 9.03pm train on Sundays.
Rob Shorthouse, the ScotRail Alliance’s communications director, said: "We are doing a lot of work to build the best railway Scotland has ever had.
"That’s ultimately going to deliver faster journeys, more seats and better services.
"While we are making those improvements some services will be disrupted, so we would encourage people to plan ahead by visiting our website or downloading the ScotRail app."
The ScotRail Alliance is a formal agreement between Abellio ScotRail and Network Rail to try to make the industry more responsive to passengers.
