MODELS are perfecting their catwalk poses before stepping out for a charity fashion show.

Elgin and District Cancer Support Group is behind the fund-raising event, which will showcase clothes from the High Street shop M&Co.

Modelling the latest styles will be people from across the Moray area who have been touched by cancer.

June Edmonstone of the group said: “Some are currently going through treatment or “living with cancer”, some are in recovery, others have suffered a bereavement from cancer, while some are supporting friends.”

Cash raised will go to the support group, which helps local people whose lives have been impacted by cancer. Members offer practical support; transport patients to hospital for treatment; offer therapies to help with pain relief, or simply help boost morale.

The group is currently merging with CLAN so that together they can help more people touched by the disease.

The show, at St Giles Church in Elgin’s High Street, this Thursday (March 21), will be followed by cheese and wine at M&Co, which is included in the £5 ticket price.

There will be a 10% discount on non-sale goods that evening, and a raffle will be held. The event starts at 7pm, and tickets are available at M&Co or from Mrs Edmonstone on 01343 541872.
