Crime warning in Forres

 

RESIDENTS in Forres are being warned to lock up their properties following a spate of housebreaking incidents in the town.Police

Grampian Police are investigating the latest crime, a break-in at a house in Sanquhar Drive on Thursday afternoon (February 9).

A digital camera, a laptop computer and foreign currency was stolen from the property between 3.20pm and 4.45pm, and investigating officers are keen to speak with anyone who has been offered such items recently.

The police say a number of similar crimes have been committed in the Sanquhar Road, St Leonard’s Road and Orchard Road areas.

They are appealing for anyone who has witnessed suspicious activity in the area to contact them, while warning residents to check the security of their homes and not leave any doors and windows unlocked.
