RESURFACING will begin on a stretch of the A96 near Keith tomorrow.
The work costing £162,000 funded by Transport Scotland, will be carried out between the town and the junction of the B9115 road to Drummuir.
Resurfacing of both lanes will take place daily between 9.30am and 3.30pm up to and including Thursday, August 14.
Work will continue over the weekend.
A convoy system with a 10mph speed limit will be in force during working hours.
Andy Thompson, BEAR Scotland’s north east unit spokesman, said: "These essential works will help improve the road safety of this section of A96.
"Some delays are expected and we advise motorists to plan their journeys ahead."
He thanked the local community for their patience.
Work will be carried out by Breedon Aggregates and Euromark on behalf of BEAR Scotland.
