PROBLEMS with dogs and noise complaints are the most common issues reported to Elgin’s community warden.
Since coming into post in June, Kathy Grant has dealt with 15 instances of dog fouling and has issued five fixed penalty notices, two of which are being contested.
She has also been called in connection with two dogs behaving dangerously, 28 noise complaints, nine neighbourhood disputes and six cases of harassment, as well as her regular patrols and involvement with police operations and initiatives.
The figures were given as part of a report to Elgin Community Council.
Members were told that fines can be issued to owners who do not clear up after pet with just one witness statement.
Anyone who wants to report an incident of dog fouling can call Ms Grant on 07800 670664 or email her at firstname.lastname@example.org
