Ecstacy, valium and cannabis seized by Elgin police

police gaelic scotland alba DRUGS with an estimated street value of around £1200 have been seized in Elgin during a police day of action.

Officers carried out a number of stop and searches in the town yesterday and seized valium, ecstasy tablets and cannabis.

Four men and a woman have been charged and reports will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

Constable Jad Leach, of Elgin Community Policing Team, said: "We are committed to targeting the illegal supply and use of drugs in the North East and the associated anti-social behaviour.

"We rely on the community to do this and will act upon any concerns which are reported to us."
