ELECTIONS will be held for four Moray community councils.
People in Fundhorn, Burghead, Lossiemouth and both town and country areas covered by Buckie and District Community Council will be asked to vote.
Carolle Ralph, former Heldon and Laich SNP councillor, who resigned her seat on Moray Council last December after receiving hate mail from Joan Stewart, the wife of her running mate David Stewart, is standing in Lossiemouth.
A new community council has been established in Dufftown, with library campaigner Alistair Jeffs one of the members.
Ten more have been set up across Moray, although there was not enough interest to establish groups for Dyke Landward, Finderne, Hopeman and Covesea, Speyside or Glenlivet.
Eligible electors will receive a postal ballot paper in mid October.
Votes must be returned to Moray Council by 5pm on Thursday, October 31 with results announced the following day.
