Elgin Academy delivery driver death

A DELIVERY driver has collapsed and died at the new Elgin Academy site.

Jim McCluskey, project manager for Stewart Milne, which is building the new £30 million school, said: "The chap was a delivery driver from the south of England and was from one of our sub-contractors. It was his first time on the site.

"The lads on the site dealt with it very well and the emergency people were first class. We are still dealing with his family."

Mr McCluskey said workers on the site were understandably upset following the man’s death.

The delivery driver has not been named following the medical emergency on Tuesday morning.
