MORAY Council has confirmed that the earliest Elgin’s boating pond will be refilled with water is the end of August.
Work on the town’s £86 million flood alleviation scheme saw the pond drained of water earlier this year.
There has been concern at the length of time the pond has been empty and amount of litter on full view.
It had been hoped the work would have been completed and the pond back to its original state by the end of July.
However, a slight delay means it will now be the end of August or early September before this is done.
