Local community interest group Earthtime will hold an Enchanted Christmas event in the woods for children aged between 2 and 8.

Activities include nature crafts and a woodland trail leading to a secret hideaway, where a special present has been hidden away for the youngsters to try and find.

Earthtime is a not-for-profit group which began organising toddler adventure sessions in the Oakwood, where wildlife such as deer, red squirrel, bats, buzzards and owls are known to roam.

They now stage events in a number of nature locations in Moray, and recently set up a home base in Elgin’s Cooper Park in the former park-keeper’s lodge.

Enchanted Christmas takes place on Sunday, December 23, with half hour slots available between 12.30 and 3.30pm. Parking is available at the Eight Acres Hotel, near to where the trails begin.
