AN APPEAL for information has been issued after two fire raising incidents at an Elgin primary school.
A school bench was damaged and papers set on fire in separate incidents at West End Primary over the last two weekends.
Old clothing was set on fire in the playground in the first incident, while sweetie papers were used to start a fire last weekend.
Elgin Community Warden Kathy Grant admitted the incidents were unusual for the school.
“The potential is there for the school to be set on fire or other playground equipment,” she said.
Mrs Grant said with the dark nights coming in, there is a real concern of a serious incident unless the problem is nipped in the bud.
She urged anyone with information about either incident at West End to contact her on 07800 670 664 or e mail her at email@example.com
People can give her information anonymously.
