DRIVERS are being warned to expect delays as a result of roadworks that have started today (Monday) in Fochabers.
The traffic calming and maintenance works, which are being carried out by Transport Scotland, will continue for the next six weeks.
The project includes the widening and resurfacing of sections of footway, carriageway resurfacing, drainage works and traffic calming measures.
Similar work has already been completed in Mosstodloch. The estimated cost is around £1.1 million for both Fochabers and Mosstodloch.
While the work is carried out, there will be lane closures, temporary traffic signals and Stop/Go signs in operation. Crews will be on site from 8am to 6pm, Monday to Saturday, although work may also be carried out on Sundays.
