A FORRES man has died after being struck by a lorry on a busy Aberdeen street.
Charles Alexander Reid (29) was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary after the incident, but later died of his injuries.
Emergency services were called to King Street just after 1.30pm on Wednesday following reports of a collision between a lorry and a pedestrian.
The driver of the lorry, a 62-year-old man, was not injured.
The road was closed for 4 hours while investigators examined the scene.
Inspector Ewan Innes, of the road policing department, said: "Our enquiries are progressing and it is too early at this stage to speculate as to the cause of the collision."
