Four injured in crash on Moray B-road


POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a serious accident yesterday evening in which four people were injured – two severely.

The four, who were all travelling south in the same black Peugeot 206, when the crash happened on the one-lane B9013 road that leads from the A96 towards Boat O’Brig.

Police say the accident took place near Altonside at about 9.10pm

Two men, aged 30 and 19, were seriously injured and were taken initially to Dr Grays before being transferred to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.

A 23-year-old woman suffered fractures and remains in Dr Grays. Another 19-year-old man sustained minor injuries and was released from hospital.

The road is currently closed while police conduct a collision investigation.

Sergeant Colin Matheson of the Road Policing Department said: "Anyone who witnessed the collision or who saw the black Peugeot 206 beforehand is urged to contact us on 101, quoting reference number 3686 of June 12, 2017."
