POLICE are investigating a suspicious fire at a garage in Lossiemouth, in which four vehicles were badly damaged.
Moray Motors, on Lossiemouth’s Coulardbank Industrial Estate, was targeted at around 2.30am yesterday (Monday) morning.
Damaged in the incident were a Citroen Berlingo van, a Vauxhall Zafira, a Ford Ka and a Vauxhall Vectra.
While the total value of the damage is still being assessed, according to police, it is likely to be a four-figure sum.
Police are appealing for witnesses, and in particular want to trace a person dressed in light-coloured clothing who was seen walking away from the premises at around that time.
Detective Constable Gary McTurk said: "This is a very unusual incident and I am keen to speak to anyone who may have been in the area at that time."
Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 if wishing to remain anonymous.
