Free training for adults to combat the bullies

bullyingTRAINING in combatting online bullying will be offered to adults next week.

Three sessions are being run in Elgin by Respect, Scotland’s anti-bullying service.

The training is designed to increase awareness of the challenges young people face online.

A national bullying survey in 2014 found that less than half of children and young people who were bullied told their parents.

In addition, 92% knew the person bullying them.

Parents and carers are encouraged to attend sessions on Tuesday from 12.30pm-2.30pm at Elgin Academy community room or from 7pm-9pm at Elgin Town Hall.

A further session for people who work with children or young people will take place on Wednesday from 9.30am-11.30am at Elgin Academy.

The sessions are all free to attend.
