A CHARITY giving homeless people a fresh start in a new home has had another busy year.
Moray Fresh Start supported almost 200 people during 2012 by providing them with home starter packs.
The charity, a collaboration of local churches, was launched in 2008 on the back of a growing homelessness problem.
It provides vital starter packs for homeless people moving into a tenancy. The packs include essential household items such as pots, pans, crockery, cutlery, kettles, toasters and towels. The charity also takes cash donations as it has to buy electrical items as it cannot accept second-hand electrical goods.
Acting chair Catherine Green will report on another busy year for the charity at its annual meeting in the Holy Trinity Church Hall at 10.30am on Saturday.
The charity is also holding a quiz night at the Ashvale restaurant in Elgin on Tuesday, March 12, at 7pm. More information is available on its website, www.morayfreshstart.org.uk
