STUDENTS on a NC Acting and Theatre Performance course are preparing to take to the stage in ‘Future Talent’ – a showcase performance.
A group of 13 people have signed up for the new course, which is being delivered by the Moray-based Out of the Darkness Theatre Company.
So far, they’ve been working on a range of units including: acting, movement and voice; contemporary Scottish theatre; performing arts industry; and preparation for audition.
Now, the students are in final rehearsals to perform a range of traditional, contemporary and original works to showcase their skills over two nights at Elgin Town Hall.
Course leader Tina McGeever said: “The students have worked very well under the direction and guidance of local professional actor and lecturer Garry Collins. We are delighted with their progress and this showcase will provide an opportunity for them to share their talents with a wider audience.”
‘Future Talent’ will run on Thursday, March 21 and Friday, March 22 from 7.30pm and there is a £3 entry fee.
Due to the content of some texts used, there is an age restriction of 15 years and over.
