Moray Council has organised an event for local groups interested in taking over assets owned by the local authority.
The seminar, organised by the council, is aimed at helping community groups to consider some of the key issues involved in the transfer of public assets to community ownership.
According to a council spokesman, the session has been organised by the local authority’s community asset transfer group and the Development Trusts Association Scotland.
He said: "It is aimed at community groups which are in the early stages of considering a community asset takeover and would like more information about what is involved.
"The seminar will explore the benefits and risks, consider the financial implications and offer practical advice."
The event will be held in the supper room at Elgin Town Hall on Tuesday March 20, from 9am to 3.30pm.
Registration is free, but places must be booked in advance. Anyone interested should phone 01343 559990 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
