Handbag stolen from elderly woman in New Elgin

POLICE are investigating after a handbag was stolen from an elderly woman in New Elgin.

The theft, at Mossend Place, occurred between 5.30pm and 6.30pm on Monday.

The man, who is described as being around 30-years-old, took the handbag containing money from the elderly victim.

The man is described as being approximately 5feet 7inches tall, with short brown hair. He has a large mole on his right cheek, and was wearing a bottle green hip-length jacket.

Anyone who may have seen anything that could help police with their inquiries is asked to phone Police Scotland on 101, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 if wishing to remain anonymous.
