POLICE are searching for a hit-and-run driver after a man was knocked off his bike in Lhanbryde.
The cyclist was riding along the pavement adjacent to Garmouth Road when a car leaving St Andrew’s Road mounted the kerb and collided with the bicycle, knocking the man to the ground.
The driver failed to stop and continued along Garmouth Road.
The collision happened at around 8.40pm on Saturday, February 22.
Constable Paul Thompson, from the Fochabers local policing team, said: "The rider was extremely lucky to escape with minor cuts and bruises.
"I am disappointed that the driver failed to stop and took off without a thought for the rider’s welfare.
"I would appeal to anyone with information about this incident and the car involved, thought to be a maroon coloured Vauxhall Astra or similar, to come forward".
Local officers can be contacted through Police Scotland on 101.
