A KEY road bridge over the River Spey in Moray is to be closed to all traffic later this month for major repairs.
Work on rthe Boat o’Brig, at Orton, will continue until mid-April next year.
The bridge, which will close on Monday September 16, is a strategic crossing point over the Spey and a vital economic link for the area’s whisky industry.
A Moray Council spokesman said the redecking of the bridge will be funded by money awarded to the local authority for capital projects by the Scottish Government.
