RESIDENTS in a flood-hit coastal community have demanded speedy action to protect them from the sea.
Villagers from Kingston packed into the local golf club on Tuesday night to discuss their concerns following a big storm before Christmas which threatened their homes.
The meeting was attended by the three local councillors for the area, Douglas Ross, Sean Morton and Margo Howe, who all pledged to fight for sea defences for the village.
Innes Community Council had called the meeting which attracted a large number of people from Kingston and neighbouring Garmouth.
Many residents spoke of living in fear of the sea following the storm.
For a full report from the meeting see 'The Northern Scot' on Friday.
