Kyle (20), from Alves, has been taken off his life support machine.

Kyle had been in a serious condition after collapsing shortly before he was due to fly home from watching Celtic in Holland earlier this month.

A member of the Moray Emerald Celtic Supporters Club, Kyle was born with a rare blood disorder which saw him receive treatment for many years at Yorkhill Hospital in Glasgow.

The former Forres Academy pupil has an extremely rare blood disorder called congenital dyserythropoietic anaemia (CDA), a deficiency in the red blood cells which carry oxygen through the body.

His mum, June, is at his bedside in Amsterdam and a local fundraising appeal to pay for any medical and other costs while the family is out there has so far raised in excess of £1,500.

The fund was set up by fellow Celtic fan Allan Donaldson who was with Kyle in Holland along with other members of the group.

Celtic Football Club has also offered to support the family in any way it can.
