AN ONLINE survey of leisure provision in Moray attracted 721 responses in its first week.
The questionnaire forms part of Moray Council’s ongoing review of sport, leisure and recreation facilities in the area as part of its drive to slash spending.
Community briefings took place in December and feedback is now available online at www.moray.gov.uk/futureleisure.
The online survey –www.moray.gov.uk/futureleisure/survey – launched earlier this month and has attracted responses from across the country.
It will remain open until February 2, with hard copies available from Moray Council swimming pools and community centres or from 01343 563395.
Comments and suggestions can also be emailed to email@example.com or by writing to: Review of Sport, Leisure & Recreation Provision in Moray, Education and Social Care, The Moray Council, High Street, Elgin, IV30 1BX.
Following the closing date, results will be analysed and pulled together alongside other national, regional and local data in a report to the cross-party area-based review group.
By the end of February, an initial list of options, including maintaining the status quo, will be drawn up and made available to user groups, community groups and then the general public for comment.
In March, it is anticipated that preferred options will be identified.
