RESIDENTS in-and-around Lhanbryde have been told to be on alert following the break-in to a house on Monday night.
Police said the semi-derelict house was targeted between 5pm and 6pm on Monday (October 1), and two "suspicious vehicles" were seen in the area at the time.
While nothing was stolen, officers said the property was damaged as a result of the forced entry.
Investigating officer, Constable Peter Hall, said police are eager to trace the two vehicles.
The first was a small blue van with a rectangular-shaped amber light fitted on the roof, near the back of the van. The second was a small, dark-coloured car.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Grampian Police on 0845 600 5700, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 if wishing to remain anonymous.
