ORGANISERS of Lossiemouth’s third ‘Wall of Rock’ festival are confident they have built the best line-up yet, after announcing it this week through the pages of ‘The Northern Scot’.
The festival, which showcases the best young music and musicians in Moray, will be hitting two stages at Station Park on Friday, September 7, and Saturday, September 8.
The free event was first organised in 2010 to raise money for a climbing wall at Lossiemouth High School, but due to its popularity, it has evolved into an annual event. Last year, 2,000 people attended over the two days.
An afternoon and evening of music on Friday will be followed by a full day and night of tunes on Saturday. There will also be an acoustic stage on the festival’s second day, showcasing some of Moray’s best unplugged talent.
Soulcasino, from Keith, have the prestigious headline slot on the Friday night.
They will be preceded on Friday by Lossiemouth’s Peruvia, a band made-up of pupils from the local high school who are generating a buzz after staging two successful gigs at the town hall.
Saturday will be headlined by Forres five-piece Be Like Pablo, and immediately before them will be Team Kapowski, from Inverness. Both bands are enjoying successful summers, which has included recent performances at the RockNess festival.
