MORAY Council is meeting today to set its budget for the next year.
The council still needs to find £10 million in savings.
In the Autumn of 2012 the council announced it needed to cut £30 million from its expenditure.
Council Leader Allan Wright said: "The people of Moray have had to face up to some cuts in services, but the reassurance is that we are winning the battle and we are two thirds of the way there."
A special meeting of the full council is due to discuss the budget today (Tuesday).
Later this year the council is set to announce the results of two major reviews into its school estate and sport and leisure provision.
