MORAY’S Local Development Plan will go out to formal consultation on Friday.
The document is the planning authority’s settled view on what the final adopted content of the plan should be, and sets out a vision for directing growth over the next 10 to 20 years.
It includes development allocations and policies, which once adopted will be used in decision making on planning applications.
The consultation period will span eight weeks and will close at 5pm on Friday, May 2.
Information events are to be held to help interpret aspects of the proposed plan and advise on the review and representation process.
Drop-in information events will take place from 4-8pm at the Longmore Hall in Keith on Monday, April 14; the Fleming Hall in Aberlour on Tuesday, April 15; Lossiemouth Town Hall on Wednesday, April 16; Elgin library on Thursday, April 17; Mortlach Memorial Hall in Dufftown on Monday, April 21; Buckie Townhouse West on Tuesday, April 22; Forres Town Hall on Wednesday, April 23 and Fochabers Institute on Thursday, April 24.
