A FLOOD alert has been issued for Findhorn, Nairn, Moray and Speyside.
The Scottish Environmental Protection Agency are warning heavy and persistent rain could cause flooding to low lying areas from rivers and small watercourses - particularly within the River Findhorn and River Spey catchment areas - over the next 24 hours.
The intensity of the rain may also cause some surface water flooding, particularly in built up areas or on low lying roads.
Conditions are expected to improve by Sunday.
Householders and businesses are being told to remain vigilant.
