A MORAY hydrotherapy pool has been given the all-clear following a bacteria scare.
The Forres facility closed last week after high levels of pseudomonas were discovered in the water during routine testing.
Moray Council announced today (Monday) that a follow-up water sample had proved negative, enabling the pool to reopen.
However, it will take some time to get the water back up to the correct temperature and reopening has been set for Wednesday.
Following the discovery, the water was super-chlorinated and the temperature lowered in the hope of exterminating the bacteria. The pool’s operation was also reviewed to minimise the likelihood of recurrence.
