A LOSSIEMOUTH woman has died following a serious road traffic collision on Christmas Eve.
Police Scotland has confirmed that Catherine Cordiner (65) died in hospital.
The collision involved an X-registered silver BMW 3 Series car and a black Audi A3 car at around 12.10pm on Tuesday December 24 on the A96 Huntly to Glens of Foudland road, near Bains Hole.
The BMW was travelling east towards Inverurie at the time of the collision while the Audi, driven by a 58-year-old man, was being driven west. There were no other persons in either vehicle.
The 58 year old man was taken by road ambulance to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary where he was treated for a broken collar bone and other minor injuries.
Inspector Ewan Innes said: "We would like to renew our appeal for witnesses to this collision. There would have been numerous cars in the area at the time that may have seen something and I would appeal to those drivers to come forward. We would be keen to speak to anyone who saw the collision or who may have information."
Anyone who may have witnessed the collision is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 to remain anonymous.
