A 100,000-strong petition against oil transfers on the Moray Firth will be examined at Holyrood tomorrow (Thursday).
The Scottish Parliament’s public petitions committee will hear from three leading members of Cromarty Rising, the pressure group set up to fight the transfers.
These currently take place between vessels anchored up in port at Nigg.
However, the Cromarty Firth Port Authority had applied for licence to transfer up to eight million gallons of oil each year out on the open sea.
You can watch the petitioners give evidence and the committee’s questions and responses live from 10.15am here .
