A MORAY retailer has warned other business to be on their guard against an Internet scam originating in Canada.
Be wary of online fraudsters...
Royce Clark, managing director of Grampian Furnishers in Lossiemouth, has seen his online sales targeted by a ‘customer’ using fraudulent cards.
"We have been hit by a number of rogue payments over the last month," he revealed.
In every case the person ordered goods and gave a London delivery address.
With Grampian Furnishers expanding their business through online sales, they are now delivering across the UK.
The fraudster even tried to buy a £499 sofa which the company managed to stop just before it went for delivery. However, a number of items had been delivered.
