POLICE in Elgin are appealing for information after flowerbeds at the foot of Ladyhill Monument were vandalised.
The incident happened between 5pm on Wednesday November 20, and 5pm on Sunday November 24.
The flowers had only just been planted by a group of community volunteers.
PC Emily Hater said: "The volunteers who tend to the monument give a lot of their time for the benefit of the community, and so I am appealing for anyone with information about this mindless act of vandalism to come forward and assist us with our enquiries."
Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 if wishing to remain anonymous.
