Police investigate Elgin lead theft

POLICE are probing the theft of lead sheeting from a business in Elgin.

Police said the incident occurred some time between 4.30pm last Thursday (September 27) and 8am the following morning in the Maisondieu Road area of the town.

The lead sheeting is valued at a low four-figure sum.

Anyone who may have been in the area at the time, or saw something suspicious, is asked to phone Grampian Police on 0845 600 5700 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111 if wishing to remain anonymous.
