Police investigate Forres metal theft

POLICE are investigating a metal theft from an industrial estate in Forres.

Officers said the stainless steel fittings were taken from an engineering firm in the Greshop Industrial Estate and are worth a four-figure sum.

They were taken some time between 3pm last Friday (September 28) and 8.30am yesterday (Monday).

According to police, the weight of the items would suggest that a vehicle was used to take them.

Anyone with information, or who may have seen anything suspicious, is asked to contact Grampian Police on 0845 600 5700 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 if wishing to remain anonymous.
