POLICE have confirmed the name of a man whose body was found in the River Spey, near Knockando.
The body of Ian Grant (71), from Grantown-on-Spey, was found in the river last Friday (October 26).
Mr Grant was originally reported missing from the Grantown area by his family on September 26.
Extensive searches were carried out in the Northern and Grampian police areas, with the assistance of several organisations, following his disappearance.
A police spokesperson said Mr Grant's death is not being treated as suspicious and a report has been sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
