A WOMAN was verbally abused then had her car keys stolen at Lhanbryde.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the aggressive driving incident that took place from the village bypass to St Andrews Road at around 6.20am on Thursday.
A male driver of a blue Nissan car, thought to be a Micra, shouted and swore at the female motorist before stealing her car keys.
He is described as being in his thirties, around 5ft 8ins tall, of stocky build with a bald head.
Constable Paul Thompson, investigating officer, said: "The lady involved was understandably distressed by this incident and was unable to continue her journey after her car keys were stolen.
"For this individual to behave in this manner is totally unacceptable and we are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident to assist us with our enquiries.
"This type of bullying behaviour on our roads will not be tolerated."
Anyone who witnessed the incident or has information that may help should call Police Scotland on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
