BALLOT papers will be landing on doormats over the next few days ahead of the European parliamentary election.
Nearly 12,000 postal votes have been issued and Moray returning officer Mark Palmer is advising voters to make sure they read and follow the instructions carefully before completing and returning their papers.
He said: "Don’t forget to include your date of birth and signature on the postal voting statement.
"This statement is kept separate from your ballot paper so your vote is always secret.
"Follow the instructions in the pack to make sure your vote counts."
Mr Palmer also advised people to ensure they return their votes promptly.
"Postal ballot papers must be received by the local returning officer by 10pm on May 22 at the latest," he said.
"So as soon as you have completed your ballot paper and postal vote statement, place it in the envelope and return it to make sure that it is received in good time."
There is still time to register to vote for the election.
People should contact the Elgin electoral registration office on 01343 541203 or visit www.votemoray.org for more information about registering by the deadline on Tuesday, May 6.
The vote for the European parliamentary elections will be held on Thursday, May 22.
