ROTHES is celebrating after landing a £240,000 Big Lottery grant to renovate its village hall.
The funding boost has secured the future of the community facility.
Keith and District Branch Royal British Legion is also to get £25,000 towards renovations and improvements.
The awards were part of a £5 million Community Spaces Scotland Scheme.
Big Lottery Fund Scotland Chair, Maureen McGinn, said: “The Community Spaces programme offers local people the chance to get together and have a say in the future of their community."
Raymond Johnston, treasurer of Grant Hall in Rothes, said: "We are over the moon."
He received confirmation last month that the hall's application had been successful but had to keep it under wraps until a formal announcement this week.
